Chantal Ailsby

I started playing the piano when I was 7 with Heather Gibson, who taught me until I was 17. I studied music for GCSE and A-Level and have a Diploma in Instrumental Teaching from the Conservatory of Music and Drama in Dublin (now DIT). I also hold a dipLCM and ATCL in piano performance and an MA in Sonic Arts.

I have been a qualified piano teacher since 2002, teaching students of all ages and levels in Dublin, London, Berlin and Belfast (my hometown).

I also enjoy playing in bands, having played keyboards with punk band Brinskill Bombeat for 5 years and singing with Chemical Kaos for 4 years. Whilst in Berlin I formed a 20s style trio (violin, clarinet and piano) and accompanied a singer at open mic nights. I have also enjoyed working with singer Nea here in Belfast, Paranoid Visions (as guest keyboards) in Dublin, helping with remixes for a DJ in Germany and on many other projects.

All in all - I've always loved music and seek to inspire my  students and budding musicians in whatever way I can!
